The SOS submission on the draft Public Service Broadcasting Bill included a number of annexures. Annexure B looks at the SOS’s proposals for a new broadcasting landscape. Among a number of things SOS proposes a new Charter for the SABC, defines the roles of the SABC’s governance and oversight structures and proposes a tentative funding model. SOS however states very clearly that a comprehensive economic modeling exercise is required before any concrete, definitive proposals can be put forward.
