The SOS Coalition hosted a Summit on the Future of Public Interest Television Broadcasting in South Africa.
The significance of the Summit was further underscored when the Portfolio Committee on Communications and Digital Technologies (PCCDT) adopted its summit report on 18 August 2026. The adoption of the report signals the importance of the issues raised at the Summit and the need for continued engagement to ensure long term viability of FTA television.
